Space development budget South Korea 2013-2023
In 2023, the development budget for the space industry in South Korea was approximately 874.2 billion South Korean won. This was a large increase from the previous year, with the budget showing continuous growth since 2019. With the successful launch of the Nuri rocket (also known as KSLV-II) in 2022, South Korea became the seventh country in the world that was able to put in orbit a satellite that weighs over one metric ton.
