Investments made by the space industry South Korea 2021, by type
In 2021, the space industry in South Korea invested around 180.5 billion South Korean won into research and development (R&D) activities. That year, total investments made by the domestic space industry were approximately 264.8 billion won. With the successful launch of the Nuri rocket (also known as KSLV-II) in 2022, South Korea became the seventh country in the world that was able to put in orbit a satellite that weighs over one metric ton.
