Global increase in abundance of key greenhouse gases 1750-2022
Since the industrial revolution began, the atmospheric abundance of key greenhouse gases have increased substantially. As of 2022, the globally averaged atmospheric abundance of carbon dioxide (CO₂) had increased by 150 percent, relative to 1750. Meanwhile, the abundance of methane (CH4) had shot up by more than 260 percent.
