Prevalence of alcohol consumption among pregnant U.S. women 2018-2020, by education
Between 2018 and 2020, around 13.5 percent of pregnant women in the U.S. reported consuming at least one alcoholic drink in the past 30 days, while 5.2 percent reported binge drinking. This behavior varied with the level of education of the respondents. In particular, women who had some college were most likely to report current drinking and binge drinking while pregnant.
