Reasons for difficulty in conceiving among U.S. adults as of 2020
A survey from 2020 found that 1 in 4 adults did not know the cause of their infertility. Among those who reported a cause, 19 percent said polycystic ovary syndrome, 17 percent said low sperm production and another 17 percent said endometriosis was what caused them difficulties to conceive or maintain a pregnancy.
