Number of deaths from lung cancer in Italy 2020, by gender and area
In 2020, a total of 32,298 deaths from trachea, bronchus and lung cancers were registered in Italy. This statistic breaks down this figure by geographical area of provenience and gender of the individuals who passed away. The Italian macro-region in which the most deaths from such malignant neoplasms occurred was the North-West. In this area, in fact, almost 9.1 thousand deaths from this cause were recorded. Deaths from trachea, bronchus and lung cancers seemed to be much more common among male individuals than among female ones.
