Expected change in media usage among U.S. consumers 2023
In April 2023 consumers in the United States were asked about their future plans for media usage. The majority said they were not planning to make any changes to most of their media habits in the following six to 12 months. However, 10 percent said they would stop paying for sports-specific content through premium cable subscriptions, and further 27 percent said they would reduce their spending on it. At the same time 121 percent of respondents said they planned to increase listening to podcasts.
