Overweight and obesity prevalence in Mexico 2021, by age
As of 2021, the age category with the highest prevalence of overweight and obesity in Mexico was the group of adults aged 20 years and older. That year, approximately 72.4 percent of adult respondents were estimated to suffer from overweight or obesity. Moreover, the same study found that nearly 43 percent of adolescents between 12 and 19 years in the North American country had overweight or obesity. A body mass index (BMI) between 25 and 29.9 kg/m² is considered overweight.
