Number of reported sexually transmitted infections in Finland 2013-2023, by type
While the number of reported sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in Finland remained stable in the past, there has been a noticeable increase in cases starting from 2021. In 2023, over 17,500 Chlamydia cases were reported, followed by 1,329 Gonorrhea cases, 459 Syphilis, and 282 HIV cases. Along with that, the number of acute Hepatitis B cases amounted to 180 infections.
