Suicide rate in Italy 2018-2019, by gender
During the years 2018 and 2019, a total of 7,327 suicides were recorded in Italy among people aged 15 years and older, which is equal to a suicide rate of 6.87 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants. This statistic shows differences in this figure related to gender. Male individuals accounted for 77.3 percent of suicides. Accordingly, the suicide rate was much higher for men than for women. About 11.33 deaths per 100,000 male individuals were recorded in 2018 and 2019, compared to three deaths per 100,000 women. Aosta Valley was
