Global distribution of AVOD versus SVOD preference 2022, by country
Globally, the majority of consumers express a preference for low-cost ad-supported video streaming platforms over higher cost platforms without ads as of March 2022. Among selected surveyed countries around the world, only Germany and Spain exhibited a relatively even split between the two options. The strongest preference for low-cost over ad-free was in South Korea, where nearly two thirds of viewers preferred an ad-supported low-cost streaming service.
