This statistic displays the share of emissions that could be covered through emissions trading schemes (ETS) worldwide in 2015, based on region. By this year, about 45 percent of greenhouse gas emissions would be covered under the EU ETS. In this year, EU member states implemented the EU ETS. Iceland, Liechstenstein, and Norway were included as of 2008.
