In 2020, the import of pharmaceutical products into South Africa amounted to an approximate value of nearly 2.41 billion U.S. dollars. This was a slight increase in value in comparison to the preceding year. Furthermore, India was one of the main trade partners of South Africa concerning pharmaceutical imports with a share of just over 24.9 percent.
