According to a survey conducted in South Korea throughout 2023, over 40 percent of tourists aged between 15 and 19 years old stated stated that they visited the country for for K-pop and hallyu-related experiences. "Hallyu" translates to Korean Wave and describes the popularity of South Korean cultural products outside its country borders.
