Distribution of OTC medication sales in Belgium 2017, by product type
As of 2017, painkillers and common cold medicines accounted for a large share of over-the-counter medications sold in Belgium. Painkillers alone accounted for 20 percent of OTC medication sold in 2017, while skincare and circulation products held a market share of just 13 percent combined.
